Poseidon Dry Gin is a Dutch Premium Gin and uses 12 botanicals for its distillation. Wakame Seaweed is thé botanical that makes this Gin unique, fresh and complex at the same time!
Much like the sea, Poseidon Gin is bold, complex and layered. Starting with fresh citrus, a velvety heart and a spicy finish, this gin uses distinctive seaweed to uncover a crisp but subtle hint of the sea.
The company Seven Seas Spirits from The Netherlands wanted to capture the essence of the maritime passion and translate that into an outstanding Gin to enhance a favourite cocktail or to be enjoyed on the rocks. The combination of knowledge and effort, over 40 different ingredients, recipes and after numerous variations, the right combination of botanicals was found. In the beginning of 2019, a harmonious balance was struck and Poseidon Gin set foot into the world. 12 botanicals from around the world were used to create Poseidon Dry Gin: Wakame Seaweed, Rosemary, Cardamom, Elderflower, Rosehip, Liquorice, Ginger, Grains of Paradise, Cubeb Berries, Lemon Peel, Coriander Seeds and Juniper Berries.
Nose
Our gin starts off with ocean freshness, followed by intense juniper and warm spices. The aroma offers a harmonious get-together of the sea and the earth.
Palate
The power of the ocean really takes over. The juniper makes way for the Wakame to give a warm taste of the sea, accompanied by a surprising sweet hint at the end. All of this is balanced by a long velvet mouthfeel that covers the tongue in a silky smoothness.
Finish
Warm and lingering spices finish off our gin. A pleasant but subtle touch of pepper gives Poseidon that little bit of extra power.
Poseidon Dry Gin is intriguing and vibrant, but at the same time it is soft, delicate and elegant. It's versatile, ever changing and you never really know what to expect, just like the sea.
