The Rhinelanders Raphael Vollmar and Gerald Koenen call for a particularly sonorous name with their Siegfried Premium Dry Gin - none other than the hero of the Germanic Nibelungen saga is the inspiration for the regional distillate from traditional production. "Big name, a lot behind", so the Rheinland Distillers themselves advertise a little tongue in cheek for their spirits.
